ABOUT ME

EMILIE MANGONI

INTERNATIONAL YOGA TEACHER

The start

I was born in Nice, South East of France, in 1981 and spent the first 20 years of my life there. I initially studied International Business and always worked for International companies. I discovered Madeira in 2000 and I have to say that it was love at first sight. I fell in love with this little paradise, lost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. I had my first experience of Yoga when I was expecting my daughter.

The consciousness

The pregnancy awakened me for a new consciousness and made me discover a better version of myself. I started to practice Yoga and immediately recognized the benefits, most especially during labor and delivery. I continued practicing with my baby girl, who is, and always has been, my Guru and Master. After all, it’s thanks to her that I started Yoga

My source of inspiration

My greatest source of love, inspiration and creativity is without a doubt my daughter, Elisa. In 2012, I took a Babyoga® course and started to teach Yoga for babies/kids and parents. 2013, I traveled to France where I completed a specialization course in Prenatal Singing (use of the voice for wellbeing during pregnancy and birth)

The path

In 2014, I completed a one year International Training in Integral® Yoga organized by the Portuguese Association of Integral Yoga (Associação de Yoga Integral de Portugal (AYIP) member of the International Federation of Yoga and of the European Union of Yoga Associations, with the Master of the lineage Beatriz Katchi (Dharmasharini Swamini Tara).

The achievement

In 2016, I attended a one year International Training of Master in Integral® Yoga organized by the Portuguese Association of Integral Yoga (Associação de Yoga Integral de Portugal (AYIP) member of the International Federation of Yoga and of the European Union of Yoga Associations, with the Master of the lineage Beatriz Katchi (Dharmasharini Swamini Tara). I especially enjoy teaching Yoga to Woman, travelling with them into their Sacred Feminine selves, and implementing specific programs for mothers to be. This led me to take a course of Womb Keeper and multidimensional therapy.

The power of music

As a singer, I have always thought that the voice and music were powerful tools for well-being and healing. That’s why I added them to my Yoga classes. Movement, voice, sound and vibration increases the positive effects of Yoga on people. I have been working with singers for many years and I offer specific classes and workshops for them all around the world.
